Juan Siao

I’m deeply disappointed in the management at Juan Siao. Tonight, we had a reservation for 6:45 PM, but we never received our food. After waiting until 9 pm we decided to leave upon being told our food still wasn’t ready. I don’t believe this was the fault of the employees working tonight. They were clearly overwhelmed, rushing around to handle the influx of customers during the holiday week. When we arrived, the host thanked us for having a reservation, which suggests they were dealing with a significant number of walk-ins. Our server was apologetic and upfront about the long wait times, explaining there were many orders ahead of ours. We appreciated the transparency and initially thought the wait would be manageable. However, while we were waiting, we noticed a family who was seated at least an hour after us receive their food, while we were still waiting for ours. I understand there may have been more going on behind the scenes, but this situation highlights a failure of management to adequately support their staff and maintain an efficient dining experience. We’ve always loved this restaurant and believe this was likely an isolated incident, but it was frustrating enough that I felt compelled to share our experience. I hope the management takes steps to address these issues to better support both their employees and their customers.
