Sunnyside

The Buddha bowl, or whatever you call it, wasn’t great and the presentation was terrible. Those sort of bowls can be much better, give much more pleasure. I’m not a great cook but I easily could have done better. Not enough arugula or quinoa. The sweet potatoes had very little taste, were cut too small and weren’t cooked enough. I’m vegan but not trying to deny myself pleasure. I ordered olive oil to add to the salad. Supposedly infused with lemon. Well, good olive oil doesn’t need that, but I didn’t taste the lemon. Maybe it mixed with the orange dressing. Then you don’t even have bread! Crazy! I had to order corn chips, for which I was charged for chips and salsa even though I didn’t want the latter. But the place is great. Wonderful view and sunset. The food, unfortunate. And the wine by glass nothing special.

Kai is amazing

Woody our waiter was not attentive and showed much more interest in other customers. A different waiter had to take our order. He didn’t not check in with us and very passive. Took over an hour to get our food and I had to keep trying to get his attention to follow up on status.

Best food in Lake Tahoe so far

Food was scant for the price but we assume we are paying for the view.

Our waiter was quite a guy! Luca was incredibly charismatic and kind, provided some lovely banter! He was excellent! Will be coming back just for the superb service!
