If you’re looking for a place where time stands still — and not in a romantic, "wow, life is beautiful" kind of way — Turning Point is your spot. We came for breakfast and a cup of coffee, and left wondering if the beans had to be planted, grown, harvested, roasted, and blessed by a coffee shaman before being served. Our waitress was lovely — honestly the only thing moving faster than a snail in the whole restaurant — so I’m convinced the problem wasn’t her. The real mystery lies somewhere behind the counter or in the coffee service, where time apparently enters a black hole. Breakfast arrived. We ate it. We digested it. We contemplated dessert. Still no coffee. At this point I half expected them to ask us if we wanted it *to go* because lunch service was starting. Great food, great waitress, but unless you enjoy waiting long enough to question your life choices, maybe bring your own thermos.
