I would have preferred to sit at a table rather than the bar. At reception, I was told there was a 40 min wait for the table I requested at walk up. I noted during my position at the bar the table I requested sat empty for my entire meal duration. I understand your business may want to reserve certain seats for a particular guest type or size. However, the guest presenting in front of you may be just as important and/or influential. I’m visiting from Melbourne Australia and my request at reception wasn’t an overly strenuous request. In further, it would be nice to be more open and forthright with an incoming patron.
